Meltblown Filter Media Line Equipment
Fine, charge-holding meltblown media backed by carded support layers, built as one line.

When people say meltblown filter media line they usually picture just the die and the collector. In practice the media only performs once it sits in a composite: a meltblown fine layer carrying the efficiency, with carded or spunbond layers giving it body and pleatability. We build the surrounding filtration nonwoven line equipment that turns that fine web into something a filter converter can actually run through a pleater.
Where the fine layer meets the support web
The efficiency layer is delicate and light, often only a few grams per square metre, and it does not survive rough handling. The support web underneath is what gives the finished media its handling strength and its pleat memory. On the support side we build the opening and blending line, the carding machine and the web-forming section, all sized so the carded layer arrives at the lamination point flat and at a steady weight.
Weight uniformity across the width is the whole game here. A carded support layer that drifts 8 or 10 percent side to side will show up as uneven pleats and uneven pressure drop in the finished cartridge. Our carding sections use profiled condensers and closed-loop weight control so the media stays inside a tight band shift after shift, which is what keeps a filter plant's yield up.

Bonding, drying and finishing
Depending on the media grade, the composite is either thermally bonded or resin-treated for stiffness and thermal stability. We build the bonding dryers and the resin padding and drying units for that step. Getting the dryer profile right matters more than people expect. Too hot and you flatten the loft that gives a depth filter its dust-holding capacity; too cool and the resin never fully cures, so the pleats relax in service.
After bonding the media runs through slitting and winding sized for the customer's converting equipment. We set edge trim, tension and roll diameter around what the pleater downstream actually wants, so the rolls load cleanly instead of telescoping or blocking. Small details, but they are the difference between a line that runs and one that stops every roll change.
One supplier from layout to commissioning
We have installed filter media lines where the customer had bought machines from four different vendors, and the commissioning turned into an argument about whose interface was wrong. Supplying the line as one package avoids that. KSG Group engineers the layout, builds the sections in Korea, ships them, and our own team is on site for installation and start-up.
Because the same people who designed the line also commission it, the ramp to saleable media is short. We tune the recipes with the customer's own fibre and resin during start-up, hand over the settings, and train the operators on changeover before we leave. Thirty-plus years of doing this in more than 40 countries means we have usually seen whatever surprise the local power, humidity or fibre supply throws up.
