Nonwoven Equipment for Medical Fabric Manufacturers

We have spent more than 30 years engineering nonwoven equipment, and we have put lines on the ground in over 40 countries. That matters for medical work because the buyers who call us are rarely starting from a blank sheet. They already know what fabric they need to make, and they want one partner who can size the line, build it in Korea, ship it, and get it running in their plant without three separate vendors pointing fingers at each other during commissioning.

A medical line is really several process islands that have to agree with one another. Opening and blending set the fiber quality, carding and cross lapping decide the web uniformity, bonding fixes the structure, and drying locks in the moisture and hand. If any one of those stages drifts, you see it in the finished fabric. Because we make the carding machine, the cross lapper, the needle punching machine, the fine opener and the dryers ourselves, we can tune them as a set rather than hoping bought-in modules talk to each other.

The other thing medical customers ask about early is changeover and cleanliness. Product runs are often shorter than in geotextiles or automotive, so an operator might switch web weight two or three times a shift. We build the feed and carding sections so basis weight targets can be dialed in from the control panel without stripping the machine down, and we specify guarding and surface finishes that hold up to the wipe-downs a medical plant expects.
