Most buyers in this sector come to us with a product spec and a target output, not a machine list. Someone making laminated shopping bag fabric wants a set web weight and a consistent surface for printing; a wipe converter cares about softness, absorbency and edge quality after cutting. Our job is to translate that into a line: opening and blending up front, a carding machine to form the web, bonding by needle punching or thermal or resin depending on the product, then drying, slitting and winding. We size each section to the throughput you actually need rather than selling you more machine than the job requires.

The bread-and-butter web weights here usually sit in the light-to-medium range, roughly 20 to 120 g/m2, though shoe covers and heavier tote fabric push higher. Fibre is commonly PP or PET, often with recycled content, so the opening line and blending have to handle mixed and reclaimed stock cleanly. We have installed plenty of lines that feed off recycled fibre, and the waste opener and rotary cutter on the recycling side of our range tie straight back into the main line when a customer wants to reprocess trim.

Changeover is where daily-life producers lose money if the line is designed badly. A packaging plant might switch web weight two or three times a shift as orders change. We lay lines out so weight and speed adjustments are made from the control panel with minimal mechanical re-setting, and we spec the cross cutter and winder tolerances so you are not scrapping the first hundred metres after every change. Small things, but they decide whether the line pays for itself.
