Automotive Headliner Fabric Production Line
A fully integrated line for automotive headliner base fabric.

KSG builds automotive headliner lines as a single integrated system rather than a collection of separate machines. Every stage, from fiber blending and opening through carding, layering, three-pass needle punching, and edge trimming, runs on KSG-built equipment matched for compatible material flow. That in-house approach keeps product variation low and makes changeovers fast.
The line is what gives a headliner its shape. A blending feeder and mixing tank homogenize the fiber, a fine opener loosens any clumps, and the carding machine forms a uniform continuous web. Two lappers then layer that web to the target thickness and density before the material moves into consolidation.
Three needle punching machines run in sequence to entangle the fibers vertically, building the strength, density, and resilience that automotive parts demand. A side cutter finishes the run, trimming the web to the correct width with clean edges so the base sheet is ready for inspection, cut-to-length, and final assembly.
KSG works with each customer on layout, capacity, and automation level so the line meets the specific quality and cost targets of an automotive program. Proven reference installations and in-house after-sales support back the whole package.

Key Features
Triple needle punching
Three consecutive needle looms progressively consolidate the multi-layer web, delivering the toughness and flexibility headliner base sheets require.
Two-stage lapping
First and second lappers, fed through a hopper feed, let you dial in web thickness and density for the target automotive spec.
Precise edge trimming
A side cutter squares the finished fabric to width with clean edges, ready for final cutting and vehicle integration.
Custom layout and capacity
Line configuration and automation level are tailored to each plant, all built from KSG equipment for smooth material flow.
